Great Ideas for Caroling

I grew up caroling. Whether it was with the girl scouts or just neighbors, it was always something we looked forward to every year. When you hear a Christmas carol sung it always makes you smile and brings back many memories.

Get together your friends, co workers, church group or any civic group or club you belong to and start up a sign up sheet for caroling. You will be surprised at how many people want to get involved.

You might even start a tradition that will last for many years.

During the holidays there are many places that would love to have you volunteer to sing holiday songs.

  • Nursing homes always appreciate entertainment for their residents during the season
  • Hospitals usually love to have a little holiday cheer added to their lives
  • Malls are a good place to bring a smile to shoppers faces
  • Outdoor recreation places like skating rinks, and ski areas
  • Restaurants
  • Street corners of busy downtown shopping areas
  • Neighborhoods
Make sure that everyone knows the songs and practices. Many of the songs we all know and love can sometimes get a little rusty with the lyrics. Make sure you find enough songs that everyone will enjoy singing.
